Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. In this way, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, which provides the dog with all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Spices
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Swiss running dog specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Swiss Hound. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Swiss Hound belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Swiss Hound.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus in the Asteraceae family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning Œground apple and refers to the apple scent. Chamomile has a great reputation in natural medicine.
We can add chamomile to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with a nervous digestion. It can have an antispasmodic and antiseptic effect.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant from the umbellifer family and is recognizable by its aniseed flavour. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for centuries for their medicinal properties.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. For example, it contains a lot of vitamin A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to dog food by us because it can support digestion and counteract a bloated feeling in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. This plant is mainly found in the Netherlands on the Wadden Islands and very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have come to the Netherlands for the first time around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which helps maintain healthy levels of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, as well as antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive to bacteria. Adding cranberries can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fiber in cranberries has a healthy effect on digestion and ensures a longer feeling of fullness.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to, among other things, digestion, skin, joints, bones and nerve functions.

After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Swiss running dog food at your own discretion.
