Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. In this way, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, which provides the dog with all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Spices
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Welsh Springer Spaniel Specific Vegetables, Herbs and Fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Welsh Springer Spaniel. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Welsh Springer Spaniel belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Welsh Springer Spaniel.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin occurs naturally in the dog's body and is one of the most important components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which should provide a spongy spring in the cartilage.
Chondroitin improves the flexibility of the cartilage and also has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. In addition, it also stimulates the production of the building blocks that serve for healthy cartilage.
When chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and strengthens the effect of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a nutritional supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the well-known eating apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fibres have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and supple. Dietary fibres also ensure an increase in the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures a thorough discharge of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibers. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the tastiness of the chunks and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamin A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.
Banana
The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There are even indications that the banana was cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word Œbanaana from the language of the Wolof people.
Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals. Including vitamin A, C and B11 (folic acid) and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen resistance. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and can contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Potassium can also contribute to lowering blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, magnesium can contribute to relaxing muscles and promoting bone growth. In addition, bananas contain a lot of good fiber and provide more good bacteria in the intestines.

Switching advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend that you follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Welsh springer spaniel dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
