Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. In this way, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, which provides the dog with all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Tibetan Spaniel Specific Vegetables, Herbs and Fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Tibetan Spaniel. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Tibetan Spaniel belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Tibetan Spaniel.

Echinacea

Echinacea comes from the asteraceae family of plants, which are native to eastern North America. Medicinal properties are attributed to a number of plants in this family. For example, the plant is associated with strengthening the immune system and respiratory infections.

Research has shown that echinacea can have an anti-inflammatory effect in dogs. Blood tests have also shown that it has a positive effect on the health and resistance of dogs. For example, it can reduce cold symptoms such as a runny nose and coughing.

At Yourdog we add echinacea to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to strengthening the dog's resistance and can contribute to its overall health.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is, like the pea, a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called fenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Nowadays, fenugreek is also grown in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. It also has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to the food by us to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also enjoy the positive effects of the addition of fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. This plant is mainly found in the Netherlands on the Wadden Islands and very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have come to the Netherlands for the first time around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost for dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which helps maintain healthy levels of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, as well as antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive to bacteria. Adding cranberries can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fiber in cranberries has a healthy effect on digestion and ensures a longer feeling of fullness.

Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to, among other things, digestion, skin, joints, bones and nerve functions.

The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days as well. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Tibetan Spaniel dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place.
