Properties per ingredient: Asparagus (Asparagus officinalis) has a cleansing effect. Asparagus roots are mainly known for their diuretic effect, which can be used for fluid retention and (bladder) stones. It is also an aid in slimming diets and may have a blood pressure lowering effect. Furthermore, it has also been shown that asparagus has a good antioxidant effect, although this is almost self-evident for most medicinal plants.

Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva ursi) has a cleansing effect on the urinary tract.

Birch (Betula alba) has a diuretic effect. By stimulating urine production, bacteria and waste products are excreted.

Canadian Yellowroot (Hydrastis canadensis) The properties of Hydrastis canadensis are mainly due to the alkaloids berberine and hydrastine, which make up about 5% of the root, and to canadine, which is present in lower concentrations. Of these alkaloids, berberine is the most well-known. This alkaloid, which is responsible for the yellow color of Hydrastis canadensis, has a calming effect on the bladder and kidneys. Hydrastis also stimulates the immune system. The species name “Hydrastis” comes from the Greek “hydra” which means water and refers to the beneficial effect the herb has on the mucous membranes of the body and in particular those of the urinary tract.

Goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea) is widely used in humans for bladder and kidney stones. For relief.

Cat's claw (Uncaria tomentosa) increases resistance.

Cat's whiskers (Orthosiphon stamineus) supports kidney function. For cramps.

Barberry (Berberis vulgaris) this plant is used humanly for kidney weakness, kidney grit and difficult urination.
