Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. In this way, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, which provides the dog with all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Spices
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Griffon bruxellois specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Griffon bruxellois. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Griffon bruxellois belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Griffon bruxellois.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek is, like the pea, a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called fenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originates from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Nowadays fenugreek is also grown in Central Asia.
Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. It also has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.
Fenugreek can be added to the food by us to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also enjoy the positive effects of the addition of fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the well-known eating apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fibres have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and supple. Dietary fibres also ensure an increase in the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the functioning of the intestines, but also ensures a thorough discharge of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibers. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy intestinal flora. It also contributes to the tastiness of the chunks and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamin A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.
Celery
Celery is a plant from the umbellifer family. The plant is often found along the coast on the wet ground.
Celery is rich in vitamins A, C and K, but also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, rich in fiber and very low in calories.
We add celery to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to supporting the immune system and digestion of the dog. It can also have a positive effect on the skin and coat, the functioning of the muscles and nerves through vitamin A and the maintenance of strong bones through vitamin K.
