When to use
For the prevention and treatment of fleas in dogs weighing 4 kg to less than 10 kg. For dogs weighing less than 4 kg or 10 kg and over, use the appropriate Bolfo Gold flea drops dog product. Fleas present on the dog are killed within one day of application. A single treatment protects against the development of a flea population for 4 weeks. The product can be used as part of a control strategy against flea allergy dermatitis.
Restriction of use
Not for use in unweaned puppies less than 8 weeks old
Method of administration
Remove a tube from the packaging. Hold the tube upright, twist and remove the cap. Replace the cap upside down, twist to break the seal and remove the cap again.
In a standing dog, part the hair between the shoulder blades until the skin becomes visible.
Place the open end of the tube on the skin and squeeze the tube firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin.
Apply only to undamaged skin. Do not allow recently treated animals to lick each other.
Side effects
The product has a bitter taste and salivation may occasionally occur when the dog licks the application site immediately after treatment. This is not a sign of intoxication and disappears within a few minutes without treatment. Correct administration minimizes the opportunity for the dog to lick the product.

No primary embryotoxic, teratogenic or reprotoxic effects were observed in studies with imidacloprid in rats and rabbits. Studies in pregnant and lactating bitches together with their offspring are limited. The evidence to date suggests that no adverse effects are to be expected in these animals.
No interactions were observed after administration of twice the recommended dose of this product and commonly used veterinary medicinal products containing fenthion, lufenuron, milbemycin, febantel, pyrantel or praziquantel. The compatibility of the product was also demonstrated with a wide range of routine treatments under field conditions, including vaccination.
