Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. In this way, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, which provides the dog with all the essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Spices

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and seaweeds, among other things, has its origins thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Dandie dinmont terrier specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Dandie Dinmont Terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier.

Chamomile

Chamomile is a genus in the Asteraceae family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning Œground apple and refers to the apple scent. Chamomile has a great reputation in natural medicine.

We can add chamomile to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation and urinary tract.

Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with a nervous digestion. It can have an antispasmodic and antiseptic effect.

Parsley

Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the umbellifer family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. There are dozens of diseases that parsley fights. According to various sources, it cures, among other things, diarrhea, anemia and ear infections. It is full of iron more than, for example, spinach. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C and carotene.

At Yourdog we add parsley to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to blood, heart and kidneys.

Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A and K. This can contribute to the immune system and the eyes and can the cardiovascular system and the liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a diuretic effect, which keeps the dog's bladder free of contamination.

Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Smaller varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and the Mayans. In 1893 it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog we use tomatoes on a culinary level, whereby we consider tomatoes as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and have a high soluble fiber content which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which is what gives tomatoes their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. In addition to giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. For example, research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints in relation to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.
