Our ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better in our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is packed with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Curly Coated Retriever. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Curly Coated Retriever belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Curly Coated Retriever.
Peppermint
Peppermint is a plant from the Lamiaceae family. It is the plant that led to the creation of peppermints. Peppermint originated from a cross between water mint and spearmint. The plant was found in England in the seventeenth century in a field with mint plants. The plant is cultivated in England, France, China, Japan and in North and South America.
Peppermint can be added to dog food by us because this could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints in relation to the intestines and gallbladder. Preventing itching is also one of the properties of the peppermint plant.
Peppermint can promote fresh breath. The mint in peppermint can have an anti-spasmodic effect on the intestine and promotes the flow of bile in the intestine. In addition, it can have an antiseptic effect.
Peppermint is rich in vitamins A and C and minerals such as calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and phosphorus.
Raspberries
The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. The cultivation of raspberries goes back to the Middle Ages and occurs naturally throughout Europe.

Tomato

At Yourdog we use tomatoes on a culinary level, whereby we consider tomatoes as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and have a high soluble fiber content which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which is what gives tomatoes their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. In addition to giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. For example, research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints in relation to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.
Puppy, adult or senior?
To help you make the right choice between our Curly coated retriever dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Curly coated retriever is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Curly coated retriever older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Curly coated retriever senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Switching advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend that you follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Curly coated retriever dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or barrel in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible.
