The Easy Walk harness is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling while on a leash. It’s so simple – easy to adjust, easy to use. It takes little getting used to and no special techniques are required.
Unlike traditional harnesses, the Easy Walk harness does not cause coughing, gagging or choking because the chest strap rests low across the breastbone and not on the area near the trachea, which is very sensitive.
Traditional harnesses actually encourage dogs to pull harder through the “opposition reflex.” This is the reflex that causes sled dogs to pull against pressure to move the sled.
The Easy Walk harness’ unique front leash attachment stops pulling by directing your dog to the side and focusing his attention on you. The patent-pending chest loop with D-ring provides extra leverage for easy, relaxed control and prevents harness twisting and slack.
It is not recommended to use the Easy Walk harness with a retractable leash. With such a leash, the dog is “rewarded” with more walking space when he pulls. The goal is to teach the dog NOT to pull. In addition, a retractable leash will always apply light, constant pressure, teaching your dog that it is okay to keep pulling.
The harness comes with a 1.8 metre leash.
